+ = The thermometer shape was selected by merging 2 circular areas with a rectangular selection. First the glass was created using KPT Gradient Designer for the stem and either KPT Glass Lens or a round gradient for the ends. A circular region was copied from the stem and placed at the bottom of the stem to blend into the bulb. The red indicator liquid was then created in a similar manner, then reduced in size, cropped, and added to the glass. In this way, there is a difference between the highlights on the full and empty parts of the thermometer.
