This example consists of a Pets.com ad that I altered to create a Mother's Day greeting card (yes, I really used it).  First, I removed the background, then I changed the microphone logo on both sides that show, and finally I removed the car keys from the puppet's mouth and replaced them with a rose image I found in a "clipart" directory (and extracted it from its original photo).  The lighting on the rose does not quite match the rest of the image, but it was all I had available at the time.  Throwing an actual rose on the scanner would have been better.  I made even one more slight change, can you spot it?
